Bishop & Smith a painting and decorating company, was created by two childhood friends, Tom and Chris, who were tired of hearing stories of poor service and poor qualities of work. They constantly struggled to understand why people were paying for poor end results.

Tom, having worked in the painting and decorating industry for 8 years, had grown a large and loyal customer base through his attention to detail and his knowledge of the properties he had worked on; ranging from manor houses, to conversions. He also believes that the customer should not have to pay the earth to make their home look exactly how they want it to, so developed competitive pricing strategies which were favoured by his customers.

Chris has worked for two of the biggest telecommunications providers in the UK and has over 10 years experience in customer service; truly believing that everyone in the country has the right to a fair, honest and personal service.

After discussing the problems faced by customers looking for the quality service they deserved, they decided that it would be the right decision to combine their experience to create a company that can deliver their vision, and Bishop & Smith Ltd was born.

Providing excellent quality right the way through, with maximum focus on the customer journey and at a competitive price – Bishop & Smith has developed a great customer base from the offset, and when asked how they can deliver such a service at the price they do, the answer is simple… ‘We run our business in the same way as we work with our customers  and their properties, carefully and with attention to detail; meaning there are no unnecessary costs’

Chris, Tom and Aaron were a joy to have working at our cottage. I work from home so disturbance can be a problem but not in this case. They just got on with what they had to do.

We have a whole cottage to redecorate over the next couple of years. I have the luxury now of not having to look elsewhere. I will be asking Bishop and Smith back without a doubt.
