While our digital visualisations accurately simulate natural light, shadows, and surrounding elements by reading the pixel geometry, ambient highlights, and surface shadows of your original photograph, no digital preview can be 100% exact. The algorithm works by mapping real paint undertones directly into these lighting structures, providing an exceptionally reliable visual comparison that is typically within 90–95% accuracy of the real-world result.
However, subtle variations in display screens, local lighting shifts throughout the day, and artificial bulb colour temperatures all influence how paint behaves on a wall—which is why we always recommend painting test patches onto large sheets of cardboard and moving them around the room at different times of day before making your final decision.
